In order to use the Discord API or create a Discord bot, we need to first create a Discord Application.

1. Log in to the Discord Developer Portal
2. Click the "New Application" button
3. Enter a name for the application and click "Create"

Congratulations! You're now the proud owner of a Discord application. You can find your applications at any time on the "My Applications" page.
